Hi Talia, typically with heuristic evaluation there is only one quant element (if any) applied and that is the severity of the heuristics the evaluator has chosen. Often, an evaluator will just measure on a pass or fail basis. With complexity analysis, there is a much heavier focus on quantitative metrics and a weighted algorithm. There is less variability in how evaluators conduct complexity analysis and it is a quant method rather than qual. I’ve found it’s more powerful when presenting to non designers like product managers and executives because of its numeric outcome. Hope this helps!
